Scientists from the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) have found that dark chocolate is more satiating than milk chocolate , and that it helps reduce voracity towards sweet, salty and fatty foods, especially if we take it first thing in the day.
To demonstrate this, they asked several dozen volunteers to take 100 grams of dark chocolate and, 2 1/2 hours later, they were offered pizza to "eat until they were full." A few days later they repeated the experiment, replacing dark chocolate with milk chocolate. The results showed that, after drinking dark chocolate, the participants ate 15% less pizza than if the snack contained milk chocolate .
