Israel: Hamas terror group launches 130 missile offensive on Tel Aviv

The violent escalation in the Middle East is taking on a pre-war tinge that is both clear and worrying. As night fell on Tuesday, the city of Tel Aviv has been the scene of an intense bombardment from the Gaza Strip, carried out by the terrorist group Hamas. The fact that such a high number of projectiles have been fired this time in a short period of time is aimed at trying to overcome the effective air defenses that Israel has. Throughout Monday night, more than 250 Rockets were fired from the enclave of Hamas and the Islamic jihadists, and according to reports from Tel Aviv, another 130, at least, have been fired continuously this Tuesday. The Hebrew Army, for its part, had countered by launching operations against some 140 Palestinian targets, leaving these movements with 28 dead, according to health sources in Gaza. As the terrorist group Hamas has spread, “We are now fulfilling our promise to launch an attack massive rocket fire on Tel Aviv and its neighborhoods, with 130 rockets in response to enemy attacks on residential towers. Sirens began to blare in the city of Tel Aviv at 8:49 p.m. local time for the second night in a row. One of the rockets fired by Hamas hit a bus in the suburb of Holon, south of the Israeli capital. The vehicle was reportedly empty at the time of impact, so there are no casualties to regret. At least two Israeli civilians have died this Tuesday from the impact on buildings in the Israeli city of Ashkelon (south) of several projectiles fired from the Gaza Strip, amid a spike in violence that has left more than 25 Palestinians killed by Israeli bombings against the enclave. Magen Adom emergency services sources have indicated that one of the victims is a woman in her 60s, while the second is another woman in her 80s. The attacks have also left dozens of wounded, one of whom is in critical condition, according to the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth. The city of Ashkelon has been one of the main targets of the projectiles fired since Monday from Gaza, while during the day of this Tuesday they have impacted several in the city of Ashdod. Likewise, on Thursday several rockets hit the outskirts of Jerusalem. In this sense, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has assured this same Tuesday that it has launched more than 135 projectiles in the space of five minutes against Ashkelon, before warning of that “there are many more,” so the attacks are expected to continue. Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has assessed the situation with Defense Minister Benny Gantz and promised to “intensify the intensity and pace.” of the attacks on the Gaza Strip. “We are in the middle of a campaign,” he stressed, speaking of the bombings that began on Monday and that would target Hamas senior officials, reports the Times of Israel. Gantz has been just as combative on Twitter after meetings between members of the Government and military commanders and has promised to continue attacking Hamas and Islamic Jihad:”For every day they shoot Israeli citizens, we will set them back years.” The Israeli Armed Forces have urged Palestinian civilians to stay away from potential militia targets, while the Hamas-controlled Gaza authorities have raised the dead to 26, including nine children. Among those killed are several commanders of the Al Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, as the group has confirmed.
