The Spanish Joaquín Navarro-Valls, who was spokesman for the Vatican during the pontificate of Pope John Paul II, died today in Rome, according to the current Vatican spokesman, Greg Burke.Navarro-Valls was born on November 16, 1936 in Cartagena (Murcia ), he was a doctor of medicine and a degree in journalism and was director of the Vatican press room between 1984 and 2006.
