At Buckingham Palace, the signs are pointing to love. The first audience with the Prime Minister shows it clearly. King Charles III Meghan Markle and Prince Harry always want to be around.

London – That King Charles III. (73) set the date of his coronation on May 6 of all days, Meghan Markle (41) and Prince Harry (38) should have briefly shaken. After all, son Archie (3) celebrates his birthday. Instead of blowing out four candles with her firstborn in cozy Montecito, it’s probably time to pack your bags and travel to foggy London. But a sweet gesture from his father may ease the travel stress for the ducal couple.

King Charles has meanwhile set himself up for receptions at Buckingham Palace

After the grueling period of mourning for Queen Elizabeth II (96, † 2022), Charles III returns. everyday life slowly. The Regent welcomed Prime Minister Liz Truss (47) to Buckingham Palace for the first of her regular weekly audiences. In an ITV video shared to Twitter, Truss can be seen curtsy before shaking hands with King Charles. Two framed pictures on a table can be clearly seen in the background of the scene.

On closer inspection, it quickly becomes clear which photos Charles always wants to have in view at work. A generational picture depicting Queen Elizabeth with her heirs Prince Charles, Prince William (40) and Prince George (9) is not surprising. On the other side of the decorative vase is a surprising portrait from the 2018 royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle .

King Charles’ audience room is decorated with two family photographs

The generation portrait was taken by photographer Ranald Mackechnie in the Throne Room of Buckingham Palace. Prince George wears plaid trousers in the photo, while the Queen smiles next to him in a light blue dress, carrying her signature handbag.

Alexi Lubomirski (47) was photographed at Windsor Castle after the wedding in St. George’s Chapel. It shows Prince Harry and Meghan surrounded by members of their wedding party . Queen Elizabeth sits next to the newlyweds and Prince Philip (99, † 2021), while Charles and Camilla (75) stand behind the late royal couple. Next to Meghan is her mother, Doria Ragland (66). Kate Middleton (40) holds Princess Charlotte (7) on her lap while Prince William smiles at the camera standing behind them.

King Charles returned from Scotland this week and is now conducting royal business from London. Since the palace announced the date of the coronation, Charles and wife Camilla have been on the home straight to a slightly slimmed down version of the celebrations on May 6, 2023. It has not yet been decided whether Prince Harry and wife Meghan will come to the coronation with or without children approved. Sources used: people.com, Twitter @Lizzie Robinson
