Autumn is officially here, but summer isn’t going away just yet. A weather expert is already announcing the next heat wave.
Offenbach – The summer had shown itself more than clearly from its hot side, one heat wave had chased the next. Since Thursday, September 1, meteorologists have been welcoming the meteorological start of autumn, but there shouldn’t be much to see of autumn temperatures for the time being. The summer is going to be extended, the hot temperatures will not be suppressed any time soon.
Just in time for the beginning of autumn: weather experts announce the next heat wave – two days in particular in focus
At least that’s what graduate meteorologist Dominik Jung, managing director of the weather service Q.met , predicts to the weather portal wetter.net . According to this, individual regions even have to adjust to values of up to 30 degrees again. The summer had at least taken a short break, rain and thunderstorms had spread extensively over Germany in the past few days. However, just in time for the beginning of autumn on Thursday, the temperatures are rising again. Jung predicts “a lot of sunshine and maximum values that are sometimes over 25 degrees”.
Heat weather returns: weather experts predict golden autumn
But that’s not all, the warm phase should continue, and the summer should go full throttle again in the coming days. On two specific days, Sunday and Monday, up to 30 degrees or even more should be possible in the west of the country. At the weekend, especially on Saturday, the southwest around Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse and partly also North Rhine-Westphalia should be prepared for rain.
“The general weather situation remains as it is. We are mostly stuck in the high air pressure and probably throughout September and October as well. It smells like a beautiful Indian summer and a golden October,” Dominik Jung continues. Dreamlike dry and sunny temperatures are also expected for the Oktoberfest in Munich.
As the weather expert explains, the high-pressure weather situation is expected to last for a few more weeks, so Germany can only look forward to showers and thunderstorms in isolated cases. “However, former tropical storms are increasing Heading for Europe and they could also be heavily involved in the weather kitchen.” The acute drought is causing problems in Germany. What about the water level in the most important rivers such as the Rhine, Main or the Danube?
