A few days before its official presentation, the Redmi brand unveiled, by publishing a video, what would have become its new gaming smartphone, christened the K40 Gaming Edition .
In this video, it is true, the brand has not revealed the most interesting technical characteristics of its new smartphone, but it presents its design with background music.
Thanks, at least, to the publication of it, we have now learned a little more about Redmi’s first gaming smartphone and, in particular, its design. In fact, we have already noticed that it will be available in both gray and black .
And, in addition, we now also have confirmation that it would be equipped with two buttons located on the left edge, which could be activated by using a slider.
These buttons would be like a kind of triggers or triggers that, according to the brand, would have a useful life of 1.5 million clicks , enough to be able to play with the device daily for several years.
In turn, at the back of the terminal we can distinguish the presence of 3 photosensors , which apparently would be identical to two of those already found in the Redmi K40 Pro, which are in fact already on sale in China.
On the other hand, the phone would have a 64 Megapixel main sensor , a 5 Megapixel macro lens and, finally, an 8 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor . Although we can notice the absence of a microphone on the back of the phone.
Along with the photosensors, it is also possible to see the inscriptions “Game” and “Phone” in the gray version, and “Freezing” or “Speediest” in the black version.
What do we know about the technical characteristics of this phone?
Apparently, this device will be available in two versions or variants: a first called Redmi K40 Gaming Edition , and a second called Redmi K40 Gaming Enhanced Edition .
The first would have the code name “chopin / K10A” and, according to some sources, it should be released in France or Spain. While the second terminal, called “ares / K10”, would be reserved for the public of China and India.
Experts believe that the version that will be available in Europe would be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 processor , therefore not counting on the 1200 version, which would be somewhat more powerful.
On the other hand, remember that it is known that it will come with an AMOLED FHD + screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a size of 6.67 inches and an aspect ratio of 20: 9. In addition, it would be powered by a large 5000mAh battery , compatible with 67W fast charging. It could be, in fact, the same battery that is already present in the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.
It incorporates an Arm Mali-G77 MC9 graphics and an 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM, in addition to a UFS 3.1 storage capacity of 128 GB (which, incidentally, would not be expandable via SD card).
In any case, and apparently, this device will be officially presented in China today, April 27. Although it is clear that we will still have to wait a few more weeks before it reaches Europe.
