Los Angeles – American actress Kate Bosworth (38, “Blue Crush”, “Still Alice”) and her husband, director Michael Polish (50, “Astronaut Farmer”) have split up.

The couple announced the end of their eight-year marriage on Instagram. "Our hearts are full because we have never been so in love and so deeply grateful for each other in this decision to part," wrote the couple. They would let go of each other now, but their love would never end.

Bosworth had become known with films such as "Blue Crush" and "Superman Returns". She met Polish in 2011 while filming the film "Big Sur", which he directed and she was in front of the camera. In August 2013 they said yes. dpa
