Leni Klum is growing up. The 18-year-old will soon be moving out and studying. Much to the chagrin of her mother Heidi Klum.
Los Angeles – Leni Klum (18) is fledged. A new phase of life will soon begin for the eldest daughter of GNTM boss Heidi Klum (49). The 18-year-old will move from Los Angeles to New York to study. Mama Heidi looks at the soon goodbye with a laughing and a crying eye.
Leni Klum wants to go to college in New York
Leni Klum has already followed in the footsteps of her famous mother and has graced numerous covers of major fashion magazines as a model. But modeling alone is not enough for her. After graduating from high school in June, Leni now wants to go to college – in New York. While Heidi Klum’s daughter moves out at the age of 18, it’s still too early for many young women. According to the Federal Statistical Office, 21 percent of all 25-year-old women in Germany still lived with their parents in 2019. For men it was even 34 percent.
In an interview with ET Online, Heidi Klum revealed how proud she is of her daughter: “She is a reasonable person. Now college is her priority. It’s not modeling and she’s very excited about this new chapter in her life.”
Heidi Klum is sad about Leni’s departure
So far, Leni has lived with her family in Los Angeles, but since her college is in New York, the young model will now move out. “Unfortunately, she’s moving away from home,” says Heidi. “I think she will have a good time, but my heart will be sad,” admits the mother of four.
However, the 49-year-old will not have to suffer from Empy Nest Syndrome. Finally, Leni’s three siblings Henry (16), Johan (15) and Lou (12) live with her in Los Angeles. In New York, the college student will also be able to escape the California sun. Most recently, Leni Klum got a bad sunburn in a bikini. Sources used: ET Online; Federal Office of Statistics
