Lenovo presents its first

smart-lenovo Lenovo has shown what will be its first ‘smartbook’ , a new generation of equipment that will begin to flourish during the present 2010. It is called Skylight , and it unites the concepts of smart mobile phone and ‘netbook’ to offer a new portable device specially designed for mobility.

The Lenovo Skylight screen measures 10.1 inches and has a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels. According to its creators, it will work with a custom Linux and its “heart” will be the 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chip , which unifies data processing and communication tasks, allowing considerable battery savings ( autonomy of 10 hours ). The laptop will have a Wi- Fi and 3G connection to access the internet, and it will update data such as e-mails even while on stand-by . It will be on sale from April in the United States, with the North American operator AT&T, at a price of $ 499.
