Lunay demonstrates a higher level of musical maturity on new album, “El Niño”

The urban singer presents his second album, with which he moves from his childhood stage to that of an adult. The album has 15 singles in which it includes collaborations with Chencho Corleone, Anitta, Bryant Myers, Zion, Chanell and Juliito.

The Puerto Rican urban artist Lunay released this Friday his new and second album, “El Niño,” in which he shows, according to what he told Efe, a higher level of musical maturity by soon discarding his stage as a 20-year-old to that of adult.

And it is that as Jefnier Osorio Moreno, the artist’s first name, explained to Efe, that musical maturity accentuated it in “El Niño” with “new melodies, new lyrics and a new ‘flow’ (style)”, as his foray into the “Drill”, a musical genre that originated in the past decade in Chicago.

This album reflects everything that I am now: fun, ‘jangueo ‘ (night social life), songs for the street and for the club. This is an album in which I direct my stage as a child to one of legal age and thus leave a legacy to my followers ”, Lunay explained.

“I don’t want to stop being the child, inside and outside the studio. I needed to make an album before I was 21 to be able to tell about everything that I am living and everything that I have learned so far, ”emphasized the artist, who will come of age in October.

Lunay, likewise, was part of the Billboard magazine list “21 under 21”, which recognizes the talent of artists under 21 years of age .

Regarding the “drill”, which Lunay recorded for the homonymous song on the album, the artist recalled that it was worked in a recording studio in New York.

“It was my first time doing a song with that style and I plan to repeat it 100,000 times, because I enjoy the process too much. It is one of the ‘flows’ that I like the most, “he said.

Likewise, the term “El Niño” related him to the weather phenomenon, which occurs every so often, and that his album “arrived and is not going to end, but will continue for a long time,” Lunay stressed.

“I’m showing that I have no limits and that my versatility is to do many songs,” said the artist, who has 15 songs on “El Niño” and with collaborations with Chencho Corleone, Anitta, Bryant Myers, Zion, Chanell and Juliito.

These last two artists, like Lunay, are part of the La Familia label, owned by Puerto Rican music producers Chris Jedi and Gaby Music, creators of the hits of some of the main urban artists.

Similarly, Chris Jedi, Gaby Music, as well as another group of music producers will soon join forces to launch the album “Los Marcianos”, said Lunay, who will also be a guest in said production.

The album “El Niño” is also the continuation of his debut album, “Épico”, which achieved two # 1 singles on the “Latin Airplay” charts , surpassing more than 1,000 million views on YouTube, placing Lunay among some of the best new artists in the music industry.

Prior to “She likes to be seen,” Lunay joined Argentine singer Nicki Nicole on the song “No Toque Mi Naik,” which they later performed together on Jimmy Fallon’s television show “Tonight Show.”

Lunay, on the other hand, prior to becoming an artist, stood out as a footballer in Corozal, a municipality in the central area of the island.

Given the lack of a professional team on the island in any international league after the departure of the Puerto Rico Islanders, who competed until 2012 in the North American Soccer League (NASL), equivalent to the Second Division in the United States, he said: “ For me it would be a dream to have a club and be part of it ”.

If that goal is specified, Lunay would join Bad Bunny in being part of the administration of a sports club on the island , because recently, the top Puerto Rican artist worldwide announced that he will be the co-owner of the Santurce Cangrejeros in the National Superior Basketball, main League of Puerto Rico.
