Man causes accident on the autobahn – and saves a woman's life

Car accidents are often fatal. In rare cases, however, they can also save lives. A man in the Netherlands sacrificed his car for this.

Nunspeet – Life-threatening situations can quickly arise in traffic if drivers lose their attention even for a brief moment. In the worst case, a collision between two cars can be fatal for the driver and front passenger. A situation in the Netherlands * has now shown that rear-end collisions can also save lives.

In the Dutch municipality of Nunspeet, a man selflessly saved the life of a woman by sacrificing his own car. The young woman suddenly lost consciousness and control of her car on the autobahn. The video, which is circulating on social networks, shows how the young woman’s car drives at a constant speed on the grassy area next to the road and then hits the highway guardrail.

Man sacrifices car: rear-end collision prevents worse

But even the guardrail does not stop the car. Only when a second car slowly drives in front of the young woman and deliberately causes a rear-end collision does it finally come to a standstill. The incident was captured on the dash cam of a car that drove behind them and then went viral on video on Twitter *.

The local radio in the Netherlands then shared the heroic story of the Savior. “What I saw wasn’t good. It was clear that the woman was no longer conscious, ”the man told the broadcaster. “I didn’t hesitate for a minute. I had to do something. ”So he gave more gas to land in front of the car. His plan worked: the woman crashed into the back of his car and came to a stop. This saved the young woman’s life and prevented worse things from happening. (ij) * and are offers from IPPEN.MEDIA
