Meghan and Harry visit 9/11 Memorial in New York

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have traveled to New York and remembered the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. A meeting with the US-UN ambassador was also on the agenda.

New York – In memory of the victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Prince Harry, 37, and Duchess Meghan, 40, visited the area around the former World Trade Center in New York.

Together with Mayor Bill de Blasio and Governor Kathy Hochul, the two posed for photos on a viewing platform in the One World Trade Center skyscraper around 400 meters above the metropolis. They also paid a visit to the memorial for the victims.

Afterwards a meeting with the American UN Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield was on the program. Thomas-Greenfield was delighted to meet the couple on Twitter. They had important discussions about Covid, justice for blacks and minorities and raising awareness for mental health, she wrote and published photos of the conversation.

At the weekend, the couple want to draw attention to the importance of a fairer distribution of vaccines against the coronavirus at a large music festival in Central Park in Manhattan.
