Meghan Markle apparently doesn't think about reconciliation with Prince Harry's Royal Family

Meghan Markle is asked about her cool relationship with Prince Harry’s family in an interview. Although the Duchess of Sussex does not have a clear answer, reading between the lines does not appear to be improving. She had already “actively sought reconciliation”.

Montecito – Even two years after the exit of Meghan Markle (41) and Prince Harry (37), the fronts to the royal family are apparently still hardened. Although the Duchess of Sussex is asked directly about the relationship in the latest lifestyle interview for The Cut, the answer remains vague. No sign of clarification.

It hails side blows in the form of subtle hints

When asked whether forgiveness between the Duchess of Sussex and the members of the royal family was on the agenda, the 41-year-old answered evasively. She believes that “forgiveness is really important,” she says. The US lifestyle magazine The Cut continued: “But it takes a lot of effort to forgive. I tried really actively, mostly because I know I can say anything.”

Here the mother of two hits the right spot, because for the head of the British crown, Queen Elizabeth II (96) and her family, it was actually not at all ok that Meghan and Harry met Oprah Winfrey (68) in the famous scandalous interview. “everything” spoke from the soul and did not shy away from charging the royals with accusations of racism. “It takes a lot more energy not to forgive,” Meghan continues, although she doesn’t say whether she means herself or Prince Harry’s family.

Meghan and Harry’s farewell to the crown

The Royal Duchess of Sussex ended their royal duties on March 31, 2020.

Prince Harry retained his titles and continued as a heir to the throne.

The couple had to give up the self-created brand name “Sussex Royal”.

Meghan Markle doesn’t want to be silenced

Meghan’s next quote can also be interpreted as a subtle accusation towards Great Britain: “I have a lot to say until I don’t do it anymore. Do you like this? Sometimes, as they say, the quiet part is still part of the song.” Any interpretation of what the Duchess of Sussex wants to express would be speculation. The fact is, if the parties had found a new way in two years, one could formulate that clearly. In other words: not a trace of reconciliation.

This is particularly unfortunate for the brothers Prince Harry and Prince William (40) and their families, but also for the two children Archie (3) and Lilibet (1), who could at least see each other on occasions such as the Sussexes’ upcoming visit to Europe in September and growing up not only physically away from her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth and her grandfather Prince Charles (73). But Meghan Markle is looking to the past: She and Harry “by their very existence” disrupted the dynamics of the hierarchy and that helped them make the decision to retire to the States.
