Meghan Markle’s new podcast is available on Spotify. In a clip, the Duchess of Sussex promises to show “her real self”. During the talk with Serena Williams, Prince Harry suddenly bursts in, prompting Meghan to casually reveal his pet name.
Montecito – The fans had to be patient for a long time, but now the series “Archetypes” Meghan’s Spotify podcast is at the start. In her announcement, Meghan Markle (40) is full of naturalness, promised her fans to be “unfiltered” and presents herself relaxed in a sweet silk blouse, nude-colored trousers and matching pumps. Tennis star Serena William (40) is her first guest and husband Prince Harry (37) also has a surprise appearance.
Harry’s nickname slips Meghan out of sheer habit in the podcast
“People should brace themselves for the real me that they probably never got to know,” Meghan says in the short clip. The talk with the tennis legend turns to ambition when Harry pokes his head in the door to say hello. Meghan and Serena cheekily reply in exaggerated British accents, which makes everyone laugh. When Harry says goodbye, Meghan calls Harry’s nickname out of habit: “Thanks, my love,” she says. Thanks, my darling.
The Spotify episode is only the second episode since the Sussexes announced Archewell Audio’s partnership with Spotify. The first podcast was apparently a kind of test balloon that was announced as a holiday special with guests Elton John (75) and James Corden (44). Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s little son Archie (3) also made an adorable appearance.
Both in England and in the United States there was no success
Apparently, the Sussexes’ personal life interests more than the lengthy description of the series suggests: “Meghan speaks to the one and only Serena Williams about the double standards women face when they are called ‘ambitious’ and the impact this has on others aspects of her life,” it says officially. However, fans are talking more about Harry’s podcast crash or Archie’s cute attempts at speaking.
Should Spotify celebrate success with the Sussex podcast, the ducal couple can be happy. Recently, the voices that spoke openly about Meghan’s and Harry’s lack of success in the United States were getting louder. Harry’s full-bodiedly announced memoirs are still missing, the couple had to defend themselves against allegations that they had double standards: on the one hand, they would stylize themselves as do-gooders, but fly to New York themselves and live in a luxury villa in Montecito.
