Andrea Meza is the great winner of the most important beauty pageant in the world. The Latin power triumphed in the 69th edition of the contest, since four of the top five were the candidates from Brazil, Mexico, Peru and the Dominican Republic.

The contest was broadcast by TNT (dubbed into Spanish) and TNT Series (in original language). The presenters in charge on this occasion was the 47-year-old actor, Mario López, who led the evening in the company of Olivia Culpo, who won the crown in 2012. For the first time in four years the beauty pageant was not hosted by Steve Harvey. .

The top 21 was made up of Colombia, Peru, Australia, France, Myanmar, Jamaica, Mexico, Dominican Republic, USA, Indonesia, Argentina, India, Curaçao, Puerto Rico, Philippines, Brazil, Great Britain, Nicaragua, Thailand, Costa Rica and Vietnam.

In total, 74 participating countries competed for the crown for the coveted title of the most beautiful woman in the world.

This edition of Miss Universe, which was held this year, corresponds to that of 2020, since it was originally scheduled to take place in December of last year , but had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
