The young man’s family had waited in vain for their Oliver at the airport. Relatives of the 23-year-old are looking desperately, now the last known photo of the young man has apparently been published.

A relative of the missing backpacker published the search for the 23-year-old via Instagram, and the young man provides updates here at regular intervals about the disappearance of Oliver Heise. As can be read there, Oliver Heise is 1.75 meters tall, has dark blond hair, a slightly dark red beard and weighs around 75 kilograms. The backpacker flew to Gran Canaria on August 3rd. There, the young man is said to have spent the night in a cave.
As can be seen from the search, Oliver Heise is said to have planned to travel to Tenerife and La Gomera. As explained in an Instagram comment under the search call, it is also known that the missing person took the ferry to Tenerife. But just one day after his trip to Gran Canaria, contact with the young man was lost. “Normally he reports daily or is used to backpacking”. The police in Germany are now looking for the young backpacker, so Oliver Heise is an experienced backpacker. As the police explained in a press release, in addition to the loss of contact, it was also unusual that the usual posts from his trips were not posted on social media.

The photo should therefore probably have been taken on Tenerife. On it you can see Oliver Heise from the side, in the background a small hill and the sea in the distance. As the HAZ further reports, Oliver Heise wore a Bedouin scarf on the photo. The photo is said to have been taken around 6 p.m. on August 4th. As the portal further reports, contact with the young man was lost that day, but the backpacker’s cell phone received messages for two more days. However, these should no longer have been read.
As the HAZ further reports, citing the spokeswoman for the Nienburg/Schaumburg police inspection, a tip-off in the missing persons case was received in Germany. “We just got a tip and forwarded it to our Spanish colleagues,” Andrea Kempin told the portal.
