Seven lawsuits have already been filed, five pending, ten more threatened: Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson is facing increasing distress over a series of alleged sexual assaults.
Attorney Tony Buzbee, who looks after all alleged victims, announced the new numbers in a press conference on Friday. “We now represent twelve women and will submit the remaining cases in due course,” said Buzbee. He spoke to 22 women who all raise similar allegations. Quarterback Watson defends himself against the allegations.
In most cases, they are trained masseuses. According to Buzbee, three are in therapy. The NFL has started an investigation into the matter, the club wants to cooperate. “We will stay in close contact with the league,” said the Texans.
Among other things, Watson, who wants to leave the franchise, allegedly forced a masseuse to perform a sexual act during a session in Houston last December. The 25-year-old allegedly touched another woman with her penis in her house at the end of March 2020.
