More than 700 young Andalusians are isolated after end-of-year trips: almost 250 positive | Last minute Andalusia

More than 700 young Andalusians who have enjoyed an end-of-year trip these last days of June are isolated in different parts of the Peninsula after different Covid-19 outbreaks. Of all of them, in addition, there are 236 positives , according to sources from the Junta de Andalucía.

A total of 179 positives are linked to the ‘macro outbreak’ of Mallorca , 36 correspond to young Sevillians who traveled to the Algarve and 21 are Granada students who traveled to Conil (Cádiz) on the occasion of an end-of-year trip.

Majorca

Specifically, 549 young Andalusians are in isolation because they are linked to the ‘macro outbreak’ of Mallorca , of which 374 are in Andalusia and 175 are on the island.

Of the 374 that are in Andalusia, a total of 145 have tested positive, of which 121 are from Seville, eight from Huelva, seven from Córdoba, five from Cádiz, three from Malaga and one from Granada. As for the 175 young Andalusians who are in isolation in Mallorca, there are 34 positives and they are all from the province of Córdoba.

Algarve

On the other hand, a total of 44 young Sevillians are in isolation for having participated in a study trip to the Portuguese Algarve, of which 36 have already tested positive for coronavirus.

All the young people are in Andalusia, so they have not had to be isolated in Portuguese land , although those same sources have not specified the exact place where these infections have occurred, although it is very likely that the outbreak originated in a point on the coast near the Andalusian border, in the Portuguese Algarve, as a result of concentrations of young people at parties or concerts, as has happened in Mallorca.

The number of Sevillians linked to the outbreak in Portugal is not likely to increase in the next few hours, but it is difficult to predict whether the positive cases will do so since the type of social relationship that the group of students has had and the degree of compliance with sanitary measures, such as distance and use of the mask.

Conil

Third, 105 students from Granada traveled to Conil (Cádiz), also on the occasion of a school trip, of which the number of positives has risen to 21. At the moment, there is very little information in this regard.
