Maurkice and Mike Pouncey have ended their respective careers. The former Steelers offensive lineman and radio host Ramon Foster announced on Twitter.
Both Pouncey brothers played center in the NFL. Maurkice Pouncey was a first round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2010 draft, and Mike Pouncey was drawn 11th by the Miami Dolphins in round 1 a year later.
While Maurkice Pouncey spent his entire career with the Steelers and was elected nine times to the Pro Bowl and twice All-Pro, Mike Pouncey played for Miami from 2011 to 2017. He then worked for the Los Angeles Chargers for two years. He was elected to the Pro Bowl four times in total.
In a statement shared by Foster, Mike Pouncey thanked those responsible for his former teams and in particular with Dolphins owner Stephen Ross as well as the officials Mike Tannenbaum and Jeff Ireland and Tom Telesco, the General Manager of the Chargers.
Maurkice Pouncey in turn thanked the entire Steelers organization, the Rooney family and the families of his former coaches.
