The wait is over: Wide receiver Kenny Golladay has decided on a new team – he goes to the New York Giants.
According to media reports, Golladay will sign for four years and $ 72 million, 40 million of which are guaranteed.
Previously, it was leaked that Golladay would charge an average annual salary of $ 18.5 million. In this respect, he has almost achieved his goal (18 million on average).
Golladay had been in New York since Friday for a meeting with the Giants, which had apparently gone well. Agreement was finally reached on Saturday afternoon (local time).
Golladay was considered the best wide receiver on the market after both Allen Robinson (Bears) and Chris Godwin (Buccaneers) were franchised tagged. Golladay was a third-round pick from the Detroit Lions, who had his best season in 2019.
Over 47 games in total, he came to 183 receptions, 3,068 yards and 21 touchdowns. Last year, however, he missed eleven games with several injuries, but should be fit again for the new season.
