The Novavax and Valneva vaccines could be an option for the unvaccinated. But which one is better? A study provides new insights.
The vaccine “VLA2001” from Valneva and “Nuvaxovid” from Novavax are two relatively new vaccines that have not yet been used in Germany. Novavax has now been approved in the EU and is scheduled to be vaccinated in Germany from February 21 – completely different from “VLA2001”. Valneva’s vaccine is currently under review by the EMA. According to the company, it expects the vaccine to be approved in the first quarter of 2022.
So soon those who are not vaccinated could have two alternatives to Biontech, Moderna or AstraZeneca. But if you have not yet been immunized, you may be wondering which of the two vaccines is more effective? HEIDELBERG24* had looked at several studies and compared the vaccines from Novavax and Valneva* in a serial article. Just so much in advance: A vaccine could have an advantage. * HEIDELBERG24 is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
