Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. does not have to be incarcerated in the process of harassment allegations. The prosecutor’s office in New York said he had met all the requirements.
New York/Los Angeles – Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. (54) avoids imprisonment in a procedure for allegations of harassment. The actor, who admitted his guilt in a New York court last April, has now met all the conditions, a spokeswoman for the prosecutor’s office told CNN. Gooding appeared in court on Thursday. Among other things, he had to take part in further behavioral courses this year.
The actor turned himself in to police in June 2019 after a woman made allegations of harassment. Gooding initially denied the allegations. Scores of other women have come forward with allegations, including in California and Texas. However, most of the alleged incidents happened too long ago to be prosecuted.
Last April, Gooding admitted in court that he forced a kiss on a woman at a Manhattan club in 2018 and groped women on two other occasions. Gooding won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1997 for his role in Jerry Maguire: The Game of Life. dpa
