Pemex must make transparent how it obtained financing for Deer Park

Pemex must disclose all the information related to the financing it obtained for the purchase of the Deer Park refinery, which until recently was owned by Shell.

The state oil company must disclose the authorization of the financing, the contract through which it was made, the interest to be paid and everything related, after a ruling by the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data ( INAI).

Pemex obtained financing from Barclays, SMBC and Banorte for the acquisition of the refinery for around 600 million dollars. The contract was made through PMI Comercio Internacional, a subsidiary of the state-owned company based in the United States, incorporated as a private company and which is in charge of the refinery.
