A then 17-year-old American accused Prince Andrew of sexual abuse. His lawyers are trying to prevent a lawsuit.
New York – The Queen of England’s second son, Prince Andrew, has a civil sexual abuse lawsuit pending against him in New York. A team of star lawyers is now trying not to have a trial in the USA. Prince Andrew is said to be involved in the abuse scandal involving Ghislaine Maxwell and the late Jeffrey Epstein. A defense attorney for the Queen’s 61-year-old son Andrew Brettler argued that the allegations made by the American woman Virginia Giuffre were based solely on the then 17-year-old’s unconfirmed and unverifiable allegation that sexual acts had taken place that she had not consented to.
The British news agency PA quoted on Wednesday night (December 15, 2021) from documents that Brettler had presented to the court in New York. The documents said the New York court had no jurisdiction because the alleged assaults allegedly took place outside of the state.
“I am very proud of my daughter for filing this civil lawsuit against him,” said Virginia Giuffre’s father. This goes further and demands a prison sentence for Andrew. “I want him to go to jail at least for a while.”

The son of Queen Elizabeth II is accused by Giuffre of having sexually abused her several times around 20 years ago and is demanding compensation. The US multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was friends with Andrew and who has now died in custody under mysterious circumstances, said she and his ex-partner Ghislaine Maxwell turned her into a sex slave as a teenager. His lawyers are trying to prevent a lawsuit.
Although Prince Andrew has always denied the allegations against him, he withdrew from all public duties in the context of the British royal family in the course of the matter.
