Prince Charles invites Meghan and Harry: will they meet again?

The separation from his son Harry and his family apparently affects Prince Charles more than expected. The heir to the throne hopes to see you again soon.

LONDON – The long distance between Britain and the United States continues to test the relationship between Prince Harry (37) and his family. The ducal couple Sussex has been living in Montecito, California for around a year and a half, spontaneous trips to London are – much to the chagrin of Prince Charles (73) – difficult.

Prince Harry’s home visits in recent years can be counted on one hand, Duchess Meghan’s (40) first trip to England since the royal exit is still pending. So far, the family of four has given London a wide berth, from which heir to the throne Charles in particular is said to suffer. The 73-year-old is reportedly eagerly awaiting his first face-to-face meeting with his granddaughter Lilibet Diana, who was born in June 2021.

To promote a reunion, Charles is said to have turned to his youngest son and his wife with a special invitation. “He’s a fantastic grandfather and […] it’s fair to say he feels that without the opportunity to meet Harry’s children, there’s something missing in his life. He’s hoping he can fix that, which is why he’s offered Harry, Meghan and the kids to stay with him,” a palace source confided to Britain’s Mirror. *24royal.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
