Princess Charlène * traveled to South Africa in the spring – a trip that was supposed to only last a few weeks. But the trip home of the Monegasque country mother was delayed because Charlène was stuck in the province of KwaZulu-Natal due to complications of an ENT infection. The serious illness of the 43-year-old resulted in several interventions, three times Charlène even had to be operated under general anesthesia *. After her last operation in October, the mother of two was able to gather strength and finally get on the plane to Europe.
