Princess Charlène * traveled to South Africa in the spring – a trip that was supposed to only last a few weeks. But the trip home of the Monegasque country mother was delayed because Charlène was stuck in the province of KwaZulu-Natal due to complications of an ENT infection. The serious illness of the 43-year-old resulted in several interventions, three times Charlène even had to be operated under general anesthesia *. After her last operation in October, the mother of two was able to gather strength and finally get on the plane to Europe.
As the picture reports, Charlène is said to have left South Africa on Sunday. The wife of Prince Albert * is said to have boarded the Grimaldis * private jet at Durban Airport to fly to Nice. From there, she is said to have traveled on to Monaco by helicopter. Her father Mike Wittstock (75) confirmed her arrival in the rock state to the dpa in Johannesburg: “She arrived in Monaco this morning, thank God she is back home.”
