Profeco calls for collective action against Walmart

This Friday, the Federal Consumer Attorney's Office (Profeco) called on people who have been affected by Walmart with the breach of promotions, to join in a collective action against the store.

“If you were affected by WALMART for breach of offers; cancellation of orders or the non-delivery of your products, join the #CollectiveAction against them,” the agency published on its official Twitter account.

In this sense, he pointed out that those who have been affected and want to join the action must present the following documentation:

  • Express consent form
  • Story of facts. Free document signed by the affected consumer, indicating the manner, time and place in which the acts committed by the supplier occurred.
  • Additional format of personal data.
  • Documents that prove the consumption relationship. They can be tickets, invoices, account statements, bank transfers, purchase confirmation emails, among others.

The formats can be obtained from the portal of collective actions.

In case of doubt, Profeco makes the following channels available: 55 5625 6700 est. 11121, 11292, 11122, 11357 or 11176; as well as the collective email address @profeco.gob.mx, from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
