Santa Barbara – According to the California Attorney’s Office, a 40-year-old family man murdered his two young children, apparently spurred on by the QAnon conspiracy narratives. The US media reported, citing court documents.
Matthew Taylor Coleman, who comes from the coastal town of Santa Barbara, was arrested on Monday (August 9, 2021) after a stay in Mexico on his way back to the border. His wife had previously reported him, her two-year-old son and her ten-month-old daughter missing. The US police were able to determine his location in the Mexican town of Rosarito using the location function of his smartphone.
QAnon followers kill their own children
The corpses of the two children were also found in Rosarito. Coleman is said to have committed the double murder immediately after his arrest at the border. He told the FBI that he had to kill his son and daughter because, in his opinion, they would grow into “monsters”. The 40-year-old apparently performed the act with a harpoon. In his confession, he is also said to have referred to conspiracy theories such as QAnon and Illuminati, which would have “enlightened” him.
When asked if he knew he had done something wrong, Coleman replied in the affirmative. It was the only way for him to save the world. The man also said, according to court records, he had received signs that his wife had snake DNA and passed it on to their children.
