Residents use a street in Cologne to create a small oasis with plants and seating. But the public order office cleared the Eifelwall.
Cologne – In large German cities, many people live in a confined space. There is seldom much space, parks and green spaces are often the only open space. In Cologne *, residents have come up with a special idea: They have redesigned a car-free street to create a space in the middle of the city. At the Eifelwall in Cologne they set up furniture they had built themselves from pallets, there were plants, flowers and garlands. So the Cologne people created their own little oasis, centrally located in the city. But that's the end of it: the public order office cleared the area.

The city of Cologne had the Eifelwall cleared as there was no permit to use the street. Residents had previously complained about the superstructure. * 24RHEIN is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA
