Berlin (dpa) – After a man attacked police officers in the courtyard of a Berlin hospital, the officers shot him and seriously injured him. A police spokeswoman said that night.

The 31-year-old initially rioted in the St. Hedwig hospital in the Mitte district on Tuesday evening and attacked emergency services with a broken glass bottle.
