Scale Impact Summit: the event to multiply your company by 10

The virtual event Scale Impact Summit is held on October 19 and 20 and aims to offer “the world’s number 1 methodologies, strategies and thought leaders that will allow you to scale your company 10 times,” according to the organizers. The forum, created by the Growth Institute —a platform that unites business leaders with entrepreneurs for online learning, with a presence in more than 50 countries— will hold conferences, conversations and workshops with international experts so that participants “acquire information and

The core of the event are four conferences of international speakers , followed by eight workshops with Latin American coaches , “to help implement what the attendees learn from what the speakers say. If you do not implement, it is useless”, said Daniel Marcos, CEO of Growth Institute and Ambassador of Singularity University in Austin,

“The event aims to help companies to scale. We do not have a problem of startups in the world, in fact in Latin America we have many startups . We have a problem of scaleups . We push entrepreneurs a lot to create a business, but then once that they do, what is the next step? They have to scale. But very few achieve it. So, we are going to focus 100% on helping companies to become stronger and be able to scale, “adds Marcos.

The first of the speakers will be Verne Harnish, better known as ‘The Growth Guy’. He is an expert in business scaling, a bestselling author on the subject, founder of the Entrepreneurs Organization and president of Scaling Up. In his lecture, he will talk about “why some companies scale and the rest do not” and will share the key strategies to achieve it.

“Imagine that your company is like a cube and you want to move it in the water, but it is not aerodynamic, and on top of it it has holes, and then you can push it, but it costs a lot and you lose a lot of water. The same thing happens in companies: it costs A lot of moving them so that they transform. First they have to become more efficient, and then they can scale. This Scaling Up methodology helps you to achieve it “, Marcos explains.

The summit will also have the presence of Mike Michalowicz, author of business books such as ‘Fix This Next’, on which he will base his talk, focused on a methodology to fully understand the situation of your company.

Next it will be the turn of Jack Daly, Sales Specialist. He founded and sold six successful companies to Wall Street firms such as Solomon Brothers and First Boston, and is the best-selling author of books such as ‘Hyper Sales Growth’. He is known as the Iron Man of business, having competed in 15 Ironman triathlons and finished 93 marathons. “Entrepreneurs are often the only ones who know how to sell their products. But you can never make a great company without a sales team,” explains Marcos. Daly teaches how to do it.

“He says: sports teams operate to a greater demand and capacity than company teams, because they have a playbook and practice their plays. This is how we want company teams to operate,” Marcos highlights.

And Daniel Marcos will be the last speaker, “to teach you to be a director or general manager,” he says. “Each one does different things, but I have been learning from our best clients —Growth Institute has a network with about 50,000 executives— to establish a system that helps you be much more efficient in your direction.”

In short, Scale Impact Summit is aimed at entrepreneurs who have survived the current crisis and are now looking to take the next step. “Capitalism has served us very well in the last 50 or 60 years, but the model we had already expired and we have to reinvent a more inclusive capitalism, which I think will happen during this decade. (…) But no. we are going to be able to get out of the crisis thinking, we have to talk, we have to talk to understand the new trends and adapt to them as quickly as possible. The idea is to help the community to be able to do that, “concluded Marcos.
