A 27-year-old had an accident in a stolen car while fleeing from the police in the Hochsauerland district.
Olsberg – The 27-year-old had apparently lost control of the Citroën Berlingo at high speed and hit a tree on the side of the road on an embankment. He was able to get himself out of the vehicle, but was taken to a hospital with serious injuries accompanied by the police, the Olsberg fire brigade announced early Monday morning.

The vehicle was reported stolen by its owner on Sunday evening in the city of Arnsberg (NRW). The 27-year-old is said to have caused an accident with the car on Autobahn 46. There was only minor fender damage.

According to the fire brigade, they were on site with four vehicles and 19 emergency services. Since the accident driver was not trapped in the vehicle, three vehicles were able to leave the scene again at 11:30 p.m. During the operation, the B480 was initially completely closed, but later one-sided traffic was allowed again.
