“Babe” is probably not the first pet name that comes to mind when thinking of Queen Elizabeth. Sir Paul McCartney found the term apt.

“She was a babe”: Paul McCartney raves about Queen Elizabeth
70 years on the British throne* – no monarch has managed that before Queen Elizabeth. Even if the actual anniversary was already celebrated on February 6th, the big anniversary party for the regent will not take place until next June. There will be numerous program items in London over several days*. A big concert with artists from the international pop scene is also planned.
A new documentary about the Queen, Elizabeth: A Portrait In Parts, is also hitting theaters and Amazon Prime to coincide with the celebrations. The production focuses on the “cheeky, funny and loving” side of the head of the royal family*, reports the “Daily Mail”. A first trailer has already been released and it features none other than ex-Beatle Sir Paul McCartney!
“She was a babe”: Paul McCartney has always been a fan of Queen Elizabeth
Paul McCartney conquered the world with the Beatles in the early 1960s. At this point, Queen Elizabeth* had already been on the throne for a number of years and was very popular with the British – including the mushroom heads. The young monarch had apparently left a lasting impression on McCartney earlier, as he unabashedly revealed in an interview for the new documentary. “We loved the Queen. She was a babe to us teenagers,” the 79-year-old revealed.
When the musician was able to get to know the regent in person for the first time a few years later, it was probably a dream come true for him. Over time, their paths would cross several times at a wide variety of events – much to the delight of McCartney, who was even knighted by his “Babe” in 1997. *24royal.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
