Underneath was a headless straw doll, dressed in jeans and a T-shirt. “In front of this was a second, also clothed, straw doll with an ax placed at neck level,” police said. Four torches burned around it. All items were secured. The criminal police are now investigating on suspicion of a threat. It is also checked whether the state security is involved.
The background and purpose of the action were initially unclear. This also applied to the question of who it might be directed against. According to the police, the matter was initially completely open. This also applied to the question of whether the action was a targeted threat and whether it could possibly be directed at residents of the house.
According to the mueritzportal.de website, Rechlin is a small community with 2,100 inhabitants in the south of the Mecklenburg Lake District, right on the banks of the Müritz. The small town is located directly at the southern gate of the Müritz National Park. (afp/ml)
