Shortly after the Corona rules for autumn became known, a sudden all-clear raised many question marks.

Bonn – Tens of thousands of people are still infected with Corona every day. Many experts, including Federal Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach (SPD), expect a corona wave in autumn that could make the medical infrastructure groan again.

Corona rules for autumn have already been negotiated and should apply from October. After more than two years with the corona virus, this was expected from many sides. A report from the Federal Ministry of Health is all the more surprising.

Current Corona in Germany: Sudden all-clear causes uncertainty

“Current warnings” is the name of the area on the website of the Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK). In the past, a deep orange colored map of Germany was shown here. On November 9, 2021 with an urgent warning that the number of corona infections would increase sharply. In April of this year, after an update, the warning situation still existed, but it was obviously no longer that acute, and a strongly varying infection process was pointed out. Now a completely different picture emerges.

Since the morning of September 2nd, the BBK website has said: “All clear”. The orange coloring of the map has also disappeared. Below is the message:

This is the all-clear for the warning “Coronavirus: Information from the Federal Ministry of Health” of April 7th, 2022 12:30:12 sent by the National Warning Center (DEU, Bund, Bonn1). The warning has been lifted.

It also states that the corona virus continues to pose a serious health risk. One should take advantage of the vaccination offers. “Even if the nationwide warning is hereby lifted, continue to observe the recommendations for action given, especially the AHA rules.” It is also recommended to continue to find out about the current infection situation, for example in the NINA-Warnapp.

News about the Corona situation in Germany: Surprised users on Twitter

As several users explained on Twitter, the all-clear was also spread via the NINA warning app. Many users were irritated. At the beginning, some asked if it was a joke, others criticized the Corona rules that had been decided for the fall, and others were simply speechless.

Meanwhile, delivery of the vaccines from Biontech/Pfizer and Moderna, adapted to the Omicron variant, is expected in Germany. After the green light from the EMA, Lauterbach expects the first vaccine delivery in the coming week. (Sophia Lother)
