In addition to being the best food for our children during their first months of life, due to all the benefits and protections it provides, breast milk also gives us a precious experience when breastfeeding our children.

It is not the first time (and we hope it is not the last) that we talk about the motherhood of Patricia Montero. We did it first during her pregnancy and, since her daughter Layla was born, on February 25, from her upbringing.

A few weeks ago we explained the recommendation of exclusive breastfeeding up to six months. From that moment and until the year, milk should continue to be the main food, supplemented by other nutrients.

Breast milk is one of the best gifts we can give our children at the beginning of their lives. But in addition to feeding them, breastfeeding is an act of love and warmth, which helps us to foster the bond with them. And when the time comes to say goodbye, it can become a very emotional event.

One of the most frequent concerns of mothers who breastfeed their children is related to the consumption of alcohol during breastfeeding. There are occasions such as parties or celebrations in which you want to have a glass of wine or a beer, but there are fears about the effects that the baby may have.

It is a fairly common problem: the mother tries to express breast milk with a breast pump after breastfeeding her baby to increase its production, but when she sees that the bottle does not fill or does it very slowly, she becomes frustrated.

Today the first day "#Familiaedulacta: making breastfeeding visible" is held in Madrid, whose main objective is to make breastfeeding visible and normalize as a natural way of feeding the baby.

We know that breast milk is the best food we can give our children during their first six months of life, but if we have the possibility of extending it for a longer time, it is much better, as it continues to receive its benefits during the first years.
