In 2006 the alloy with which the 25 and 50 dirams were minted was changed.

In this country, where various cultures and peoples have coexisted, there are some relevant facts that must be recognized. To begin with, a large part of the population is Muslim , this being their religion.
The Persian empire is behind part of its culture, which has left us important names in the world of literature and science. We can cite Ibn Sina, Firdusi, Rudaki, and Omar Khayyam.
Regarding its music, the Tajik is the traditional one, of which there are three styles: the Pamir in Gorno Badajshan, the Kuhistoni in Hisor, Kulob and Garm, and the northern style of Sogdiana.
To get to the country we can do it in different ways, although it is to be recognized that it has no access to the sea, that is, there are no ports. The most important are, then, the plane to get there by air , as well as the railroad and the road to move mostly.
