After its spontaneous success generated by the privacy policies on WhatsApp, Telegram wants to keep users through group video calls, an update that only a few people had acquired a few weeks ago, but now it reaches everyone.
With this new option, iOS and Android users will be able to connect to calls on all devices, including tablets, phones and computers. One of the differentiators of this function is that groups will also be able to organize voice chats, which is a movement motivated by other social networks, such as Clubhouse.
According to Telegram’s specifications, the participants in the voice chat will be unlimited, but only the first 30 people who enter the conversation will be the ones who will have the ability to activate their camera.
To start a voice chat, the user must check the menu ⋮, located in the upper right part of the profile of any group in which they act as administrator (on iOS, you will find a “Voice Chat” button in the profile of the group).
The options within this application will be greater than in others, because in addition to transmitting from the camera, you can also share the screen or do both at the same time.
Telegram also unveiled improved noise suppression features in voice chats to keep everyone’s audio clear and crisp, even when there is bustle around.
Regarding the support for tablets and computers, the app will have more screen space and more distribution options. In this way, a grid or a list of participants can be opened on the screen.
Computer voice chats, on the other hand, will open in a separate window, so people can keep typing and talking without having to minimize. Likewise, the computer app also has selective screen sharing, in order to transmit a particular program instead of the entire screen.
Among other innovations that came to the app on mobile phones are animated backgrounds, which show a multicolored gradient that is generated with algorithms and moves when sending a message. Additionally, users can create their own.
On the other hand, there will be animated stickers and emojis that will not affect the battery and even on iOS, this will also apply to multimedia elements. Therefore, when writing and sending a text it will smoothly transform into a message bubble as it flies towards the receiver.
