A severe heat wave swept through Europe last week: 40 degrees were measured in the United Kingdom for the first time and high temperatures are also still prevailing in Germany. There are already a lot of memes on Twitter of people trying to cope with this heat. But climate activists view these record temperatures with great concern, because ultimately this heat is a warning sign of climate change.
