The jury of the developer forum The App Date has chosen Gow as the best Spanish app of 2012 , the only sports application that controls the athlete’s physiological indicators through a smart shirt . The App Date Award 2012 thus recognizes for the third consecutive year the promotion of quality in the sector of applications for mobile devices in Spain.
Gow, which works thanks to the smart sensors of a men’s t-shirt and a women’s top, and which allows friends and family to send audio messages to cheer on the athlete, has been chosen by the jury from more than a hundred candidates for the award for its ” boosting the Internet of Things ” and its “fostering the commercialization of wearable technology.”
In this edition, the awards have had the category “Best Spanish application for Smart TV”, which has recognized the quality of the RTVE application designed for the London Olympic Games , and “Best Spanish application for Android”, which has awarded the Draw Pets app , developed by the Madrid agency Wildbit Studios.
