The creepiest photos in the universe – Planet of Eternal Darkness

Despite scientific advances, the “great void”, known as outer space, remains a mystery to humans.

The quintessential theory of the origin of the universe is that of the Big Bang , a point of infinite density that, as its name suggests, was the victim of a great explosion and whose expansion wave generated and shaped the cosmos . From this fact, it went from “nothing” to “everything”, since after this phenomenon the creation of all matter took place, including the concepts of space and time.

According to the International Aeronautical Federation, the line that separates the Earth’s atmosphere from the beginning of the universe is located about 100km away from our planet and is called the Kármán Line . However, this limit is only an approximation, since such a boundary delimitation is somewhat abstract.

This large black canvas, dotted with millions of stars, is not as deserted as it seems . In fact, in the spaces between stars, planets and other stellar bodies, there are a large number of particles, predominantly made up of hydrogen gas and electromagnetic radiation, which are imperceptible to the naked eye.

With all this, the scientific and space community has gone beyond the historic moment of Neil Armstrong stepping on the moon for the first time in the late 1960s.

In the last decades a new scheme of galactic life has been reestablished and outlined . In a short time hundreds of different planets have been discovered and have been a real revolution in the vision and study of the universe.

These are nothing more than celestial bodies without their own light that orbit around a star and that were born approximately 4.600 million years ago. The Solar System is currently made up of 8 planets: Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune .

However, leaving behind these familiar and friendly planets, what can we find if we exceed the limits of our planetary system? What if, on the contrary, we approach in detail what we suppose to be known?
NASA invites us on a journey through the most intriguing destinations in the cosmos. Stunning images and illustrations of the planets and some of the most chilling and enigmatic details in the universe. You sign up?
