The most serious mistakes you make every day when using your mobile

There are times when small actions in our daily routine can have a great impact on the devices we use. Smartphones accompany us everywhere; They are the most prominent devices in our lives and therefore also the most affected by our actions.

These are some common mistakes that are harmful to your mobile:

Lack of cleanliness or sloppy cleaning

We all like to see our phone sparkling, but that doesn’t mean you need to insert tools into the phone to clean the dust. This “good deed” can damage the internal circuits of the mobile without you noticing.

Do not restart the phone

Restarting the phone can improve performance and battery life. Remember that, during the day, the mobile constantly reads and writes data, storing a significant amount of information in its random access memory (RAM). Restarting the phone clears the RAM and closes all the apps, which leads to a kind of maintenance task. If you never restart the mobile, it is likely that it will last much less. Nor do you have to restart it every day, but it is advisable to do it at least once a week.

Live wallpapers

Although they may seem very attractive to us, this function of moving wallpapers can reduce the life of the battery, draining it with every second that passes. These wallpapers are like mini-videos that play over and over again and could even end up damaging your battery during the charging process.

Smartphones without a case

A considerable percentage of users refuse to put a cover on their mobile. Regardless of the model or brand of phone, you need a case that offers sufficient protection for the device. The case should extend beyond the edges of the phone screen in order to protect it from, among other things, a drop. If the case only covers the back of your phone, you are not doing much for its safety. And if you usually put it in your pants pocket, don’t forget to use a screen protector.

Turn on too many notifications

Every time you install a new app, the app asks for permission to access the protected parts of the phone that the developers deem necessary. Often one of the messages is to activate the app notifications. Even if your first impulse is to say yes, we advise you to learn to say no to the rain of notifications. Why? They’re useful for messaging or banking apps, but for most – games, news, weather, and just about everything else – they’re not worth wasting your battery and time on them.

Wait until the battery runs out to charge it

It is a false myth that you have to wait for the battery to run out to charge your mobile. This will not extend the life of the device, quite the opposite. Today’s batteries are made of lithium-ion, which makes them have a limited number of cycles. If you wait until the phone is at 0% battery to recharge it, you will have used one of these cycles. Ideally, you should carry out small loads throughout the day. Never wait for it to hit the minimum. The life of your phone will be lengthened.

Leave the mobile in the sun

Heat and smartphones don’t go hand in hand . Leaving the phone near the window, on the dashboard of the car or in the towel while taking a bath in summer will overheat it and this will seriously damage the battery of the phone.

Manually close apps to save battery

We are all looking for ways to get the most out of our battery and closing apps may seem like a no-brainer. However, we don’t realize that applications can use a huge amount of processing power in the background. However, if you close the application but open it minutes later, we are sorry to tell you that you are not saving energy by closing it. Mobile operating systems are designed to manage resources efficiently, so unless you have a compelling reason to close an application, you will have to rely on your phone and its ability to multitask.
