Well, the director is in full promotion of the book Once Upon a Time in Hollywood , a novel that deepens the original story that got 10 nominations and two Oscars at last year’s gala. Tarantino has made it clear that this novel is not a version that he created from the script, adapting it to the format, but that he has begun to write it from scratch, getting closer to some characters such as Cliff Booth , played by Brad Pitt, this being its premiere in that of winning golden statuettes. The plot unfolds around an actor in the low hours played by Leonardo DiCaprio in the late 60s and in the midst of all that the hippie boom and the Charles Manson sect. According to the book, Cliff shoots Billie with the pistol , describing a bloody and exaggerated scene, the spear-shaped projectile slices the woman in half, while Cliff tries to hold together until help arrives . The event in question lasts seven hours and in that time, in a somewhat surreal way, the couple talk and resolve all their conflicts. But by the time rescue arrives, his wife is already dead and Cliff has an excuse to cover up the murder.
A sequence that resolves all the debates that took place around the film and that will satisfy all those fans who always expect a bloody scene from the director. The book Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has been available in Spain since last June 29.
