London – Liz Truss (47) was less than 40 days in office, now her competitor Rishi Sunak (42) is moving up to the post of prime minister. If by King Charles III. (73) is sworn in, knowing that his wife is richer than the king himself, Akshata Murty (42). The 42-year-old is the daughter of Indian billionaire NR Narayana Murthy (76), who is dubbed the “Bill Gates of India” for having made enormous fortunes with the software company Infosys. Murthy’s company employs 228,000 people and has sales of US$11.9 billion. According to G uardian , his subsidiary holds a 0.91 percent stake .

Akshata Murthy’s profile on LinkedIn credits her as a director of capital and private equity firm Catamaran Ventures, gym chain Digme Fitness, and men’s outfitter New & Lingwood. The economist and the future prime minister met and fell in love during their studies. In the meantime, the couple has firmly established itself in society. “The couple’s garden parties are some of the trendiest in town,” writes the Guardian , adding: “They’re known for serving roast venison, canapés and champagne.”
A tax scandal is also attached to the rich wife because she was not registered in Great Britain and should have saved herself a few tax payments. But that was the end of it, the couple assured after the scandal broke. The incumbent King Charles has already gained experience in surviving scandals. Whether that is suitable as a topic of conversation is another matter. Maybe they’d rather talk about what it’s like to live in a historic place than in a London penthouse or townhouse.
