The Queen's death certificate raises questions: Why did Prince Harry learn about the death so late?

Queen Elizabeth II’s death certificate has been released. The time of death brings with it a mystery. Why did Harry only find out about death so late.

London – The death certificate of Queen Elizabeth II (96, † 2022) shows that she died of old age at 3:10 p.m. This gives the events on the eve of her death at the country estate in Scotland a new dynamic. One question seems to be unanswered so far: Why did it take hours for Prince Harry (38) to find out?

The Queen’s death certificate casts a new light on the passage of time

King Charles III (73) and his sister, Princess Anne (72) were with their mother when she closed her eyes forever on September 8th. Prince Edward (58) and his wife Sophie (57) as well as Prince Andrew (62) and Prince William (40) were still on a plane en route to Balmoral at the time. They were probably informed of the Queen’s death mid-flight. According to Dailymail, which cites palace sources, Prince Harry was briefed just five minutes before the world public .

Charles had insisted all afternoon on personally informing his youngest son before Buckingham Palace made an official statement. Why the father was only able to contact his son at 6:25 p.m. in the air remains an unsolved mystery .

Inconsistencies in the timing of the day before the night of death

The plane with Edward, Andrew and William to Scotland took off an hour late. It was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. but didn’t fly until 2:39 p.m.

Just before 2 p.m., a spokesman for the Sussexes announced that Harry and Meghan were traveling to Scotland together. Half an hour later, a spokesman for the Sussexes corrected that only Harry intended to travel, saying it was a mistake, they said.

Prime Minister Liz Truss (47) was informed in good time at 4.30 p.m. It seems strange that communication with Prince Harry should not have worked.

If Charles wanted to inform Harry personally, he might have run out of time

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle (41) were on a promotional tour in Great Britain. According to the news platform’s reconstruction, the Duke of Sussex hadn’t even made it to an airport as he apparently didn’t know if he could come with his wife Meghan. He finally took a private jet from Luton at 5.35pm and didn’t land in Aberdeen until 6.47pm.

Charles had warned his sons over the phone that afternoon that their grandmother was weakening and that Harry and his brother William should come to Scotland. After that, he had apparently returned to his mother’s deathbed, where things took an irreversible course. More than two hours passed before Harry showed up, during which there was apparently a communication gap between Harry and Balmoral. With the clock ticking for the release of an official announcement, things have most likely turned to Harry’s disadvantage. Sources used:
