After months, Harry and Meghan have British soil under their feet again, but the royal family reunification is still missing. The ducal couple are said to have skillfully ignored their new neighbors in Windsor, William and Kate. Hide and seek instead of reconciliation is apparently the motto of the Sussexes.
Windsor – The trips to England by Prince Harry (37) and Meghan Markle (41) since their royal retirement can be counted on one hand. In June, the Sussexes visited London for the first time as a family on the occasion of Queen Elizabeth II’s (96) throne jubilee, and a few days ago they returned to Great Britain as a couple. In the palace, however, the joy of reunion should be limited.
Harry and Meghan visit England: No time for the royal family
Many would describe the multi-day trip to England as the perfect opportunity for one or the other family reunion, but Harry and Meghan apparently planned exactly the opposite. The parents of two have already made an appearance at the “One Young World Summit” in Manchester, in Düsseldorf Prince Harry and his wife have been busy promoting the Invictus Games 2023. September 8 is their last date with the “WellChild Awards”, in the meantime, the couple are said to be staying back at their old home, Frogmore Cottage.

New royal neighbors have recently appeared on the grounds of Windsor Castle and seem unwilling to welcome Harry and Meghan. Prince William, 40, and Kate Middleton, 40, have taken up residence with their three children at Adelaide Cottage, which is about a 15-minute walk from their Sussex home. The quarreling brothers and their families seem to want to avoid a meeting at all costs.
Harry and Meghan can be seen in England: the USA remains their adopted country
Prince Harry traveled to his homeland for the funeral of his grandfather Prince Philip (99, † 2021) and the unveiling of the Diana statue (36, † 1997) in April and July 2021 respectively, Meghan’s first trip since leaving Sussex was longer waiting. En route to the Invictus Games in The Hague, the couple made an unannounced stopover with Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle last April. The next reunion followed to celebrate the regent’s platinum anniversary in June 2022, making the most recent trip the ducal couple’s third visit to England this year.
Ice Age in Windsor: Harry and Meghan and William and Kate keep to themselves
Nobility expert Christopher Andersen (73) announced in advance to “Us Weekly” that Harry and Meghan will give the Cambridges a wide berth: “They will play royal hide and seek. […] It will have all the hallmarks of old-fashioned farce when these people [Harry, Meghan, William and Kate] try to avoid each other.”
Fear of Harry’s upcoming memoir, which will be released later this year, should play a big part, according to Andersen. His wife could also make further revelations public. Meghan Markle kept a diary during her time as royal, which she recently rediscovered. Sources used: usmagazine.com
