They present the first augmented reality lenses

The American startup Mojo Vision has presented "the first intelligent contact lens in the world" , lenses oriented to augmented reality that incorporate an integrated screen that will make us feel what the future would look like through our eyes.

After more than a decade of research, development and patent applications (they have already accumulated more than 100 patents), the company has demonstrated – at events such as CES 2020 in Las Vegas – that the prototype works.

Although it seems like an invention straight out of the field of science fiction, these smart lenses are presented to the world as what Mojo Vision's senior vice president of marketing, Steve Sinclair, calls Invisible Computing , a platform that overlays information on what we can see in the real world, without the need for any external device.

What are its applications?

Many and very varied. And best of all, it is very easy to use . Imagine that you are testing the Mojo Lens: when looking towards a corner in any direction you will see pop-up icons (calendar, music playback, weather forecast …) and you can expand these icons and read or listen to the requested information.

The Speech application has caught the attention of many, because thanks to it and using only our eyes, we can open a text and read it aloud. It seems that teleprompters have just become a thing of the past. And this is just the beginning.
