This is the new update of Mozilla Firefox for mobile

Mozilla Firefox for iOS and Android OS devices has released a new home screen and various tab management features. The updated version of the mobile web browser, Firefox 94, will also allow users to access the last active tab open and search histories organized by topic directly from the home screen.

More functionality and pragmatism

With the latest update, users can also view recently saved bookmarks on the Firefox home page. Firefox 94 will also reduce the visual clutter of having multiple tabs open, grouping them by topic in the same browser window, making them much easier to access.

The advances that the company itself has made of the new update of version 94 of Firefox say that the new home page will also mean a completely new experience, and has simplified access and management from mobile devices in a very solvent way, grouping everything in a central location.

Analysts say the new browser design is based on user feedback and turns the home page into a re-entry point to pick up where the user left off the last time they were browsing the Internet. Firefox 94 has started rolling out for both Android and iOS.

As we have already mentioned, the new Firefox home page works as a re-entry point with access to previously opened tabs, for example with press articles that the user has not finished yet and wants to save to continue reading at another time.

With a few taps, the user can return to the last open active tab quickly and very easily. Firefox version 94 will also display bookmarked sites. Firefox account users can now view their recently saved bookmarks from the desktop available on the mobile platform.

The new home page also organizes search queries by topic in Firefox for Android. These saved searches will be available for a maximum period of 14 days , enough time for the user to return to the page they had left and finish what they were doing.

To keep the browsing experience orderly, Firefox has also made the change to a tab, which will go into an “inactive state” if users have not visited it in the last 14 days. This feature will be available on Android from now on and will be coming to the iOS version very soon, as the company recently announced in a promotional statement for the new update.

Finally, Mozilla’s latest Firefox 94 offers customization options for the Pocket feed. Android users will now be able to choose the story topics they want to appear in the feed. IOS users can access Pocket stories, but theme customization is not available at the moment, although it will also be rolled out shortly. Topics can include food, entertainment, health, science, technology, and travel.
