Frankfurt/Main – Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp initially thought his nomination for the Yashin Trophy was a joke. “First I asked if it was a joke,” said Trapp on Wednesday at a media round in Frankfurt am Main. Last week, the Bundesliga goalkeeper was nominated for the final selection for the Yashin Trophy, with which the French magazine “France Football” honors the best goalkeeper every year. “It’s feedback somewhere about what we’ve done as a club.” The competition is “not exactly bad”.
