The actor Benedict Cumberbatch can soon look forward to an honor on the most famous sidewalk in Hollywood.
Los Angeles – The actor Benedict Cumberbatch (45, “Doctor Strange”) is to be immortalized on Hollywood’s “Walk of Fame” with a star plaque.
This was announced by the operators of the tourist mile in Los Angeles. On February 28, the British star is scheduled to unveil the star on Hollywood Boulevard. He receives the 2714th plaque on the famous sidewalk. Director JJ Abrams (“Star Trek Into Darkness”) and Kevin Feige, the successful Marvel producer behind blockbusters such as the “Avengers” series, “Iron Man” or “Spider-Man”, are invited as guest speakers.
Cumberbatch is in the Oscar race at the end of March as the lead actor in the western drama “The Power of the Dog”. The film about two brothers who ran a ranch together in Montana in the 1920s is this year’s Oscar favorite with twelve nominations. In 2015, the Brit was nominated at the Academy Awards for his leading role in the drama “The Imitation Game – A Top Secret Life”.
